Ascent Builders
builds to 2015 Energy Codes to create an energy efficient, quality built home. HERS values, which measure energy efficiency, for the homes are 63 - 65 which are well below a standard new build home which is 100. For homeowners this means lower monthly utility bills.
Building multi-family units can be more complicated that building single family homes. Fire retardant drywall is used for all party (shared) walls. In addition, the builder uses double the insulation and drywall between all shared walls to provide sound resistance and improved energy efficiency. A series of multiple inspections are conducted by the city throughout the build process.
Once you go under contract, there will be a series of design appointments to personalize the home
at our design center.
Once all the selections are made, 50% of upgrade selections are due after the appointment, the rest is factored into the mortgage giving the advantage of paying for a portion of your upgrades over the course of your loan.
During the construction process, you will have the opportunity to attend a Meet the Builder
event where you have the opportunity to meet your future neighbors, meet the preferred lenders, walk your floorplan, chat with the builder and superintendent about the construction process. The sales team, builder, preferred lenders, and superintendent will answer any questions you may have.
One week prior to closing, buyers will have a walk-through
of the home with a Pro-Home representative, the builder’s home warranty contact. Pro-Home will give a new home orientation and the opportunity to develop a "punch list" of items that need to be finished or fixed prior to closing.
In addition to the new home orientation, the builder warranty covers a 60-day and 11-month post move in walkthrough. The builder also pays for a 10 year structural warranty for buyers at closing through a reputable company called ‘2-10’.
